E-learning for Doctors
Challenge: Help doctors give equitable care regardless of patients’ race or ethnicity.
Solution: Conduct a heuristic evaluation (expert review) in light of the learning objectives for the Talaria e-learning module on Disparities in Healthcare. Simplify data presentation by removing distracting background images, providing concise summaries for graphs, and breaking data-heavy graphs into separate images. Build exercises to raise awareness of the learner’s own attitudes and provide practice to change behavior.
